- Put all the ingredients in the popcorn maker or in a large pot and mix well.
- Bring to medium heat and let it bubble until the water evaporates, caramel forms, and the popcorn kernels start popping.
- Cover the pot, reduce the heat, and start slowly turning the handle of the popcorn maker so that the popcorn kernels descend and the caramelized popcorn rises (if you're using a regular pot, protect your hands and hold it with a cloth through the handles, shaking the pot to achieve the same effect).
- When the popcorn kernels take longer to pop, it's time to turn off the heat to prevent burning. Distribute in paper bags and serve.
