- Bring the lentils to a boil with some water and cook until they are "al dente".
- In another pan, fry the onion and the calabrese sausage in olive oil until the onion becomes very dark, this will add color to the dish.
- Add the rice, beef bouillon cubes, hot water, reserved lentils, pepper, and cook until the rice is fully cooked.
- Once done, transfer to a serving dish of your choice, sprinkle with parsley, and serve.
