- Put all the ingredients in the popcorn maker or in a large pot and mix well. Bring to medium heat and let it bubble until the water evaporates, caramel forms, and the popcorn kernels start to pop.
- Cover the pot, reduce the heat, and start slowly turning the popcorn maker's crank so that the popcorn kernels fall and the caramelized popcorn rises (if using a regular pot, protect your hands and hold the pot with a cloth by the handles, moving the pot so this happens).
- When the popcorn kernels take longer to pop, turn off the heat.
- Distribute into paper bags and serve.
